A Tribute To Eddy Arnold

Many people who share a similar background such as mine have never heard of Eddy Arnold, and that is truly a shame. Mr. Arnold’s mission in life was to bring country music to a diverse audience, which he did better than any other country star. That would explain why a kid from a middle income, New England family would spent hours as a youth listening to his records.

CMT Report on Eddy Arnold

Eddy Arnold was not only one of the best selling music artist of all times, but he was a true gentleman and rarity by today’s entertainment standards. Married to his wife in 1942, they stayed together until her death in March of 2008. Mr. Arnold recorded thousands records, 145 that went on to become hits, to which 28 became Number One hits. Three songs standout for me, Cattle Call, Make the World Go Away, and Riches Man in the World. Each uniquely different, but that's who Eddy Arnold was.

Rest in Peace Eddy Arnold
