Liberals Are Sharpening The Blades Of Their Guillotines

Amazing how quickly the rally cries from the Left of “Change We Can Believe In,” have been replaced with “Let their heads roll!” Like the Left-leaning mobs of the French Revolution, the “Obamamanics” have gathered their pitchforks and are preparing to storm the “Capital.”

The hate and unjustified angry from the Left will never go away. The election of Barrack Obama has only served to embolden many Liberals in their belief that they can now act out their delusional agenda, and in the process put America through an unnecessary “act of redemption.“ Too many on the Left actually believe the lies they have been spewing about the current administration, they are prepared to tear this country apart for their own selfish motives.

In what is shaping up to be the 21st Century equivalent to the Salem Witch-hunt’s, the Left wants the head of President Bush on a platter, along with many of his senior advisors. Their hysterical dissent is being fueled by partisan legislators such as Senator Russ Feingold, D-Wisconsin.

I received two E-mails and read a local editorial, all with similar themes, that President George Bush’s departure is not enough, that false retribution is DEMANDED!

An E-mail being distributed by www.deomcrats.com and www.afterdowningstreet.com

Nadler Introduces Resolution Opposing Possible Bush Pardons of His Own Subordinates for Crimes He Authorized

Here's a resolution, hot off the presses from Jerrold Nadler, Chair of the Constitution Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee: H.RES.1531, "Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the President of the United States should not issue pardons to senior members of his administration during the final 90 days of his term of office," Sponsor: Rep Nadler, Jerrold [NY-8] (introduced 11/20/2008). There is a petition promoting this resolution, through which you can write to your representative and senators at http://democrats.com/nadler-pardons

Senator Russ Feingold editorialized against these possible pardons at Salon.com yesterday; please urge him to introduce in the Senate the same resolution that Nadler has in the House.

Never before has a president pardoned himself or his subordinates for crimes he authorized. The idea that the pardon power constitutionally includes such pardons ignores a thousand year tradition in which no man can sit in judgment of himself, and the fact that James Madison and George Mason argued that the reason we needed the impeachment power was that a president might some day try to pardon someone for a crime that he himself was involved in. The problem is not preemptive pardons of people not yet tried and convicted. The problem is not blanket pardons of unnamed masses of people. Both of those types of pardons have been issued in the past and have their appropriate place. The problem is the complete elimination of any semblance of the rule of law by pardoning one's own subordinates for crimes you instructed them to commit.

Yes, of course, there's something absurd about knowing that a president authorized crimes, not impeaching him, not prosecuting him, not proposing any action with any teeth at all, but formally objecting to the idea of him issuing pardons of his own subordinates for crimes he authorized. But this is where we are. State, local, civil, foreign, and international prosecutions are likely ways of holding Bush, Cheney, and gang accountable, and pardons can't interfere with them. Pardons can't interfere with impeachment. But if we allow these pardons, we not only guarantee no federal prosecutions, and not only give Congress an excuse to drop its investigations, but we also establish the precedent that from here on out any president can violate any law and then pardon the crime. This is simply to end the idea of law. We cannot allow that.

We need to work with Congressman Nadler and Senator Feingold to promote awareness of what is wrong with self-pardons. In this way we can prepare the American public for the appropriate response when the pardons come. The appropriate response will be to demand:

1. Immediate impeachment of Bush and Cheney, even if they are out of office.

2. Overturning of the pardons, as Bush's lawyers told him he could do to Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich, which was a far more minor abuse of the pardon power.

3. Legislation banning self-pardons and pardons of crimes authorized by the president.

4. A Constitutional Amendment banning self-pardons and pardons of crimes authorized by the president.

5. Prosecution of Bush, Cheney, and their subordinates for their crimes.

From the Portsmouth Herald, Portsmouth, NH

Impeach Bush for harm he has done the nation
Nov. 19 — To the Editor:

We have lived with Bush for two terms and he has bankrupted our Treasury, killed and maimed our own soldiers, along with destroying Iraq and killing women and children. He has destroyed our image throughout the world, caused rifts between both parties, lied to the American people — that led us into war in both Iraq and Afghanistan — tortured and held prisoners at Gitmo against the Geneva Convention and our Constitution.

Outed a CIA agent and has led our country into a deep recession and God knows another Depression. All of this and more while he basked in luxury at the White House playing president and now wants to pardon all those involved or connected with torturing — including himself. If I walk across the street on a green light I can be arrested for jaywalking, and he can just walk away from all the harm he has done to everyone in the United States. I say, "no way — impeach him!"

Frederick Glynn
York Harbor, Maine

Many on the Left, like Glynn, are nothing more than self-loafing sycophants who are determined to rip this country apart in their belief that their actions are serving to unify us. Sadly all that I can say to those on the Left who are committed to this course of action is “They Have Eyes, But They Cannot See.”

Bubble, Bubble, Toil, and Trouble: Pink Witches for Peace

Code Pink is seeking the assistance of a higher power in their endeavors to shutdown the Marine Recruiting Office of Berkley, CA. Typical of people who subscribe to secular humanism, Code Pink members have taken to their brooms and pointy hats to expel the leathernecks:

President George Bush Is A Monkey

Art truly is in the eye of the beholder, as demonstrated by a recent political “art show” on display at Linn Benton Community College, in Vermont:

"Free" Thinking Artist

To the best of my knowledge this art show did not feature any “controversial” displays of prominent Democrats. A search of the web did not produce any news story related to the exhibition.

This is just a recent series of contentious art exhibitions we have seen over the past month (
Maine Student Uses The American Flag As Art, Yale Senior: Abortion As Art), and are symptoms of what is “ailing” higher education today.

Progressive's speak of “tolerance,” but what they actual mean is tolerance for their thoughts, protest, beliefs, and lifestyles. Imagine the outrage if a conservative artist (hell, even a liberal artist) decided to create a monkey statue with the likeness of Senator Obama. What do you think the response would be?

New Hampshire Impeachment Update: Resolution of Ineptitude

House Resolution 24 crept into the chamber of the NH House of Representative, and nothing was accomplished. The NH House, minus a few Republicans who chose to leave the floor, voted 227-95, to table the resolution. Tabling the resolution means that it is not dead, and could be resurrected, as political pandering requires.

WMUR News Report: Politics of Dancing

In a week in which we learned that the NH deficit is approaching $300 millions dollars, the best the Democratic leadership could do was take no action on a resolution they do not support. But what would you expect, House Speaker Terie Norelli is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If Norelli allows the resolution to be voted on, and it passes, she exposes the Class of 2006 as a partisan group of malcontents. If it doesn’t pass, she risk alienating the fringe elements that make up the Democratic Party. Both outcomes playing right into the hands of the Republican Party. If HR24 had passed it was facing an uphill battle just to make it out of NH, let alone appear on the floor of the US Representative. The Constitutionality of the resolution would have been challenged, and it would have lost.

The House Leadership is only fanning the fire of this lunacy more by allowing HR24 to hang around. As long as HR24 is still alive, every ill-informed “impeachment nut” will cling to their delusions that HR24 is the “Holy Grail” that will help finally rid the world of the evil President Bush.

But the Republicans aren't above petty politics either. NH Rep. Al Baldasaro, Londonderry, introduced an equally incompetent piece of legislation in retaliation to HR24. Mr. Baldasaro's amendment called on the U.S. House to expel Democratic U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter from Congress. Mr. Baldasaro was just as wrong as Rep. Hall, (along with their supporters) for having turned the floor of the NH House into a three-ringed circus, featuring Terie Norelli as its ring master.

Petty squabbling and politically charged legislation is no way to run a government. The ignorance of those that claim to represent the people far outweighed their good intentions.

Support Peace, Plant a Bomb

We are often told by those on the Left that it is not “the Troops” they do not support, it is the “War.” We see lawn signs and bumper stickers that proclaim “I Support the Troops, Not the Mission,” or “Support the Troops, End the War.” We are told that a person can be in support of those in harms way, but at the same time be openly critical of the the war itself. There is some truth in that statement, but only if a persons motives are pure, and the manner in which the opposition is presented is with respect to the cause. The real truth is that many anti-war protesters came to the movement due to their hatred of President Bush, or their warped sense of “Progressive Patriotism.”

I am of the opinion that many anti-war groups did not want to get caught up in the quagmire that occurred after the Vietnam War. Many returning Vets were ridiculed and insulted while serving in Vietnam, and upon their return to the States. The Anti-war movement of the 60's showed a serious lack of compassion for their fellow countrymen, so much so that many of the scars still have not healed.

Today's neo-Progressives started out by trying not to repeat the mistakes they made during the Vietnam War. But let's not be fooled, many of the same 60's radicals who burned they draft cards 40 years ago, are the same leaders of todays anti-war movement. These aging hippies, suffering from the affects of all the drugs they took in college, wanting desperately to relive their glory days, are now trying to influence a new generation to follow in their failed footsteps.

What started with the irresponsible actions of the Berkeley City Council and Code Pink has given way to a front more closely in line with the anarchist movement:

Report: Increase Attack on Military Recruiting Stations

Sedition Report

The anti-war movement has never been able to contain “its emotions,” eventually resorting to (warning....oxymoron alert!) destructive actions in the name of peace. Notice how quickly the anti-war movement abandons their “Support for the Troops” propaganda when their cause is not getting daily headlines. Like little children that resort to “violently lashing out, because nobody is listening,” the modern anti-movement have once again shown their true colors, and they aren't Red, White, and Blue.

Berkeley Wrap-up: A Tale of Two Stories

Berkeley Mayor Tom "Just Call Me Norman" Bates, sitting in front of the Marine Recruiters Office in Berkeley, with Code Pink. The beret looks "gorgeous!"

The situation in Berkeley seems to be “calming down” for now, but it is not over. The Berkeley City Council may have “backed down” and rescinded the original unwelcome letter, but they refused to apologize in any way for their actions. Moreover, several City Councilors continued to express their support for the anti-American group, Code Pink. In fact, the special parking permit that the City Council granted Code Stink is still valid. Code Pink has been camped out in front of the Marine recruiting station since October of 2007, and there are no plans on their part to leave anytime soon.

Move America Forward was extremely active during this latest City Council meeting to readdress the “Unwelcome Marines” letter. They organized a petition and write-in campaign, as well as arranged for a pro-American/Support the Troops presence in Berkeley the day of the rescind vote. They provided a final recap of the events, along with some photos, posted on their website:

Move America Forward Journal

Kudos to Move America Forward!

Code Pink also followed up the decision at Berkeley with an e-mail and web posting claiming victory:

Berkeley Update Dated 2/13/2008; VICTORY!

Or how about the statements by Code Pinks founder, Medea Benjamin, to the local media:

"Not quite, said Medea Benjamin, the 56-year-old co-founder of the anti-war group Code Pink that has led the charge here, organizing and energizing the growing crowd of protesters - and, in turn, their opponents - in front of the old City Hall where council meetings are held.

"The city council's action has been a great gift to the peace movement," Benjamin said of the recent decision to not only show the recruiters the door, but also to give Code Pink a permit for a prime parking spot in front of the Shattuck Avenue Marine recruitment center to pitch its daily protests. "Once this pro-war crowd goes away, we'll be left with an energized base and a tighter anti-war community. We'll be out tomorrow and every day in front of that recruiting station and we'll eventually shut it down no matter what the council does."

Benjamin is right. To some degree Code Pink can claim victory. The only thing that happen was the Berkeley City Council took back the letter…..that’s it! The Council never apologized, or revokes the “special” permits issued to Code Pink (at no cost), and most of the Councilors continue to express support for Code Pink actions.

Code Pink and the Berkeley City Council aren’t done. Code Pink also supports the eviction of the not only the Marine recruiters, but all military recruiters. Code Pink is actively working with the Berkeley City Council on a zoning ordinance banning military recruiters from Berkeley:

Zoning Petition

The ordinance is “modeled” after similar zoning initiatives meant to eliminate porn shops (except in Berkeley where gay and lesbian themed shops are encouraged) and non-living zones for child molesters. This action is far worse than the original “unwelcome letter.” To attempt to classify military recruiters in the same realm as perverts is disgusting.

Is this where we are going to let it end?

Berkeley City Council Backs Down

KCRA TV Report Earlier in the day (prior to the vote)

The Berkeley City Council voted 7-2 to rescind their original “Marines are Intruders” letter. The Berkeley City Council listened to speakers until the wee hours of the morning before casting their votes. The reality is that the City Council made up their minds to rescind the letter before entering the chamber, and the “re-vote” was nothing more than to try and appease everyone.

SF Gate: Berkeley Rescinds Letter

The question now is whether the Berkeley City Council went far enough to make amends? Not at all! The council tried to explain that they were only making a statement against the war, and meant no disrespect to the Marines. The truth is that Berkeley is so used to supporting these kinds of measures, and having the rest of America dismiss them as harmless kooks, they thought they no one would notice the original vote…they were wrong. The apology is disingenuous and without remorse.

The Berkeley City Council only took steps to rescind the original letter. They did not recant their statements in support of Code Pink, nor did they revoke Code Pinks license to “abuse.” Last nights vote will only serve as a rally cry for the Code Pink fanatics. The core of Berkeley is anti-American, and it will only be a matter of time before they do, or say, something to belittle and insult their own country. But at the very least the response this time may make them think twice. This video is just a small reminder of who Code Pink really is:

The cowardice actions were not limited to the City Council Chambers. Outside demonstrators from both sides of the issued gathered. The anti-American protesters did their best to incite the situation, at one point resorting to the old standby of burning an American Flag:

CAUTION – OBSCENE LANGUAGE CAN BE HEARD

Obviously these protesters were not concerned about the environment because besides releasing “poisonous fumes” into the air, they destroyed several innocent bicycles. How many more bikes must be sacrificed in the name of peace! I wonder if the protester that burned the flag realized that they have the right to do what they did because of the brave men and women of the US Military? Ironic...

Berkeley Under Siege Update

DeMint Keeps Up the Pressure

Senator DeMint, along with some of his colleagues, has introduced legislation to cease certain earmarks slated for Berkeley. One such earmark is a school lunch program offered by an upscale restaurant, Chez Panisse. So much for peanut butter and jelly!

Senator DeMint’s office also released a video this week featuring “outtakes” from the Berkeley City Council Meeting where the original resolution was introduced:

Funny, I guess you can judge a book by its cover.

Local News Report

The back peddling continues as demonstrated during this news piece. The Berkeley City Council is expected to “discuss” this issue again at their next council meeting (scheduled for 2/12/2008). Somehow I suspect the audience in attendance that night may not be what the City Councilors, or for that matter the City of Berkeley, are normally use to.

The spineless Mayor of Berkeley, Tom Bates, now believes “they may have gone too far.” Gee, ya think!

And what about school employee Mark Coplan’s using children as “human shields” (referring to the school lunch program provided by local restaurant Chez Panissa) to place the blame for this mess away from the very people responsible, the Berkeley City Council! Chez Panisse is a private restaurant, which is very successful, that does not provide the school lunches for free. I am sure Chez Panissa does an wonderful job, but I question whether the amount of money spent on the program is the “best bang for the buck.”

San Francisco Gate Newspaper

This is a link to the photo log featuring the protesters “blocking” the entrance to the Berkeley Marine Recruiting Station:

San Francisco Gate: Photo Log

The protesters are in fact physically assaulting everyday citizens as the try to enter the building. And what was the police response? Nothing!

Is America Evil?

Is America evil? Interesting question, and one that you would think would immediately illicit a resounding “NO!” But you would be wrong. I have always reserved the marker of evil for the likes of Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden, serial killers and puppy beaters. But there are many that feel America is the new Evil Empire.

During the 2008 Presidential Campaign some of the candidates have stated that they would work to restore “America’s place in the world.” But wouldn’t it be nice to know what these candidates perceive America’s place in the world should be, or for that matter what our place in the world is now.

In the end, I could really care less what the rest of the world thinks of America, nor should they care what I think of them. For every “evil action” America is accused of committing, there are many more “evil inactions” that can be laid at the feet of many nations around the world.

My bigger concern is how my fellow citizens feel about their own country. The greatest enemy to our free republic is not the “barbarians at the gates,” but the enemies already within our walls. These enemies walk amongst openly, like wolves, but they do not even bother to wear sheep’s clothing. They use the Constitution as their own personal excuse to say and do whatever they want. They look upon freedom as something designed to serve their own personal needs, instead of a divine gift meant to strengthen our resolve against tyranny.

These enemies only see what they perceive to be America’s “faults,” while never seeing our virtues. While I am not asking my fellow Americans to look upon our landscape with “rose colored glasses,” I am asking them to look at all of Americas intrinsic ideals before they arbitrarily (and frankly, carelessly) shack the finger of distain at their own home. Contrary to what many of these people think, wearing ones disgust (hatred, disapproval…whatever you want to call it) on your sleeve is not a badge of honor. Nor does their public odium mark them as “free-thinking intellectuals.” Far from it. It only shows them to be people who do not appreciate the great nation America was, still is, and will always be so long as we stay united.

As I read the news and editorials I am reminded that America can’t “win for losing.” If we do nothing were wrong. If we take action we are warmongers, imperialist, or…EVIL. There are those that laugh when we fall, and find glee when our economy falters. More times than not America stands alone, stumbling over the feet that have been stuck straight out by our own citizens. But for those that would call America evil that is OK, because in the end, when you call for our help we will come without hesitation. Why? Because we are Americans, and that’s who we are.

NOTE:

As I was writing this article, I was reminded of the great Canadian Reporter Gordon Sinclair. In 1973, when American was at one of its lowest points, he felt compelled to speak up for America. This recording was released in the United States and actually climbed into the Top 40. Some of the facts are dated, and some will feel that the music in the background is hooky, but the message is truer today than ever:

The Americans

That Will Do Pig..That Will Do

Citing concerns over the reaction from the Muslim community, a new children’s book based on the classic “Three Little Pigs” was denied the Bett literary award:

I'll Huff, and I'll Puff, and I Will Blow Your Infidel House Down

The books potential to offend Muslims was not the only reason it was denied the Bett award. However, the fact that whether Muslims would be offended by a book called “The Three Little Cowboy Builders” was considered. The issue is that Bett is a government sponsor award, with a panel that features state employed school teachers. This panel, through a need to be politically correct, assumed Muslims would be offended simply because the heroes of the story are swine’s. In the process of making this decision, they offended many more people (including Muslims), and unfortunately the Muslim community (who had no input into this decision) will be blamed.

But why stop there? Why not remove all books and movies that feature pigs as the main characters such as Babe, Piglet (Winnie the Pooh), Pumba (Lion King), Miss Piggy (Muppets), Arnold Ziffle (Green Acres), and of course Wilbur (Charlotte’s Web)? Maybe we can have “pig” burning parties, forcing children to bring all their beloved books, stuff animals, and videos and in the name of political correctness, throw them onto the purging fire.

As Salman Rushdie stated during the outcry over his book Satanic Verses – “Atwhay isway eedomfray ofway expressionway? Ithoutway ethay eedomfray otay offendway, itway easescay otay existway.” Oh I forgot, some may find the use of Pig Latin offensive…..oughtay!

Navy Seal Danny Dietz

Against the wishing “of some concerned parents” such as Emily Cassidy (Denver Post: Parents Protest), a statue of Navy Seal Danny Dietz, who perished while serving in Afghanistan (Rocky Mountain News Profile of Danny), was dedicated on July 4, 2007( Slapstick Politics: Navy Seal Danny Dietz Memorial).

The stated opposition to the memorial was that it promoted violence, and its placement in a park close to an elementary school, sent the wrong message. What??!!??

Danny Dietz is the type of hero our elementary school children, or for that matter all Americans, need to learn about. I applaud the Citizens of Littleton, CO for standing with Danny’s family.

And for those people who opposed this memorial, what were you thinking? I find your stated reason (anti-gun) disingenuous and un-American. That’s right, un-American, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Danny Dietz is a hero and this memorial was the least we could do to thank him and his family for Danny’s sacrifice.

Kennebunkport or Bust

Well the usual suspects were at again this weekend. This time a coalition of confused malcontents from groups such as Peace Action Maine, After Downing Street, Maine Campaign to Impeach, Maine Lawyers for Democracy, and United for Peace and Justice gathered in the small town of Kennebunkport to protest President Bush and Putin. I think Dogs for Peace may have had a contingency there as well, but they were immediately detained for public urination and violation of Kennebunkport’s strict leash laws (come to think of it…some of the members of the other groups could have been arrested on the same charges!).

From Maine Today.com:

“The crowd gathered at Kennebunkport’s Village Green, with speakers and musicians onstage and numerous protesters in the crowd participating in political theater. There was a coffin being drawn on a carriage, a group of Abu Graib “prisoners” in orange jumpsuits with black bags over their heads, people dressed up as the Statue of Liberty and a donkey with President Bush’s face.

Almost everyone had either a sticker, a sign or a T-shirt that summed up their mood, among them “Impeach Bush,” “Not one more dollar,” “Jail to the Chief,” and “Impeachment is Patriotic."

I am sure they were all eating “soy dogs,” wearing black armbands made of recyclable material (which can conveniently be used at the next “Save the Spotted Owl,” “Stop Global Warning,” or “Hillary Obama Edwards love fest”).

The only thing these groups managed to achieved, other than to show how stupid some Americans are, is snarl traffic in a major tourist town the weekend before the 4th of July. One sure way to get your fellow liberals mad at you is to interrupt their Sunday shopping trip in a “quaint Maine village” with the inconvenience of a peace rally, or impeachment rally, or Save "Fill-in the blank (Darfur, Whales, Sudan) rally.

United We Stand, Divided We Fall

Everyday I read the newspapers (like the New York Times), the web pages/ blogs (such as The Nation), and listen to the news, and see my fellow countrymen turning against America.

I find myself wondering how a person born and educated in America could turn their backs on their country in the belief that they are the true conscientious of the American people. We are letting self-professed diplomats, in movements such as Press for Progress, Code Pink, and Students for a Democratic Society drive the propaganda of the terrorist. Most of these “anti-war” protesters started their efforts for purely political reasons (defeat Bush at all cost), and now are nothing more than puppets for those in the world that believe in the complete and udder destruction of all nations that do not submit to their injudicious ways.

We have let these self-righteous socialist hijack the debate with their aggrandizing and “flower in my hair” nonsense. They offer no solutions other than “it is Americas fault, shame on us,” or the old stand-by, Bush lied. Why don’t we just impeach the President? The Democrats control the Senate and the House, if they believed he lied, they have the power. But they won’t use it. Because unlike the nitwits with the bumper stickers “No one died when Clinton lied,” our representatives know that Bush didn’t lie or deceive America.

These want to be “hippies” scream bloody murder when we involve ourselves in world events, yet turn their backs when tyrants, terrorist and thugs meddle in the affairs of peaceful nations (Spain, England, Germany, France, Iraq, America, Philippines, to name a few). All of these nations have freely elected governments. But the terrorist didn’t like the results, so they make the bombs, brainwash some misguided kid to do their dirty work, and “Allah be praised.”

Wake up America. We are not the enemy. Are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of those who lived before us? The Nazis in Europe (20 million dead), Stalin’s purging and forced famine in Russia (20 million +), Mao’s Cultural Revolution (50 million dead), and now radical Islam efforts to fulfill Muhammad’s command of one Islamic nation. Radical Muslims uses the freedoms enjoyed in America and Europe against us. A recent survey of young Muslims in Britain revealed their belief that British law should be replaced with Sharia law. The Muslim Brotherhood is outlawed in most Islamic nations, but thrives in Europe, especially in England and France. They have stated that all nations will fall and submit to Sharia law.

Instead of debating “a non-binding resolution (there’s an oxymoron for you),” we should be supporting a binding resolutions that simple states that “We as Americans support the efforts of our brave soldiers to take whatever steps necessary to rid the world of those that proclaim to be the enemies of peace and freedom, and through their charter attempt to circumvent the authority of sovereign nations to live without threat and fear of their way of life.”

The reality is that these people are not “anti-war,” but anti-American. We shouldn’t let these “self-righteous” malcontents go unchecked. Like those who called for appeasement and isolationism during World War II, we have amongst us a group of people who believe that being a dissent is patriotic. They couldn't be more wrong.

I look forward to the comments calling me a racist and warmonger. I am neither. I am a person who possesses the insight and commonsense that seems to have been abandoned by some of my fellow Americans.

The Legacy of Rosie

Rosie is off the airwaves for now, but she leaves in her wake misinformation for the brainless of this world to feast upon. Many of her statements were not only careless, but hurtful to those personal touched by the tragedy of terrorism. President Bush has somehow been turned into the embodiment of evil by Ms. O'Donnell's warped sense of reality. President Bush’s desire to keep this country safe has been characterized by Ms. O'Donnell as a mantra shared by no one.

I want this war to be over, as do all Americans. But the sad reality is that this war will never end. We need to get it through our “can’t we all just get along” mentality that it is not just about Iraq. We doom ourselves to more bloodshed when we fail to acknowledge that this war we are fighting is not directed against an existing country, but a dogma known as Islam. Forget about “fanatical Islam,” because the reality is the core of the religion is obsessed with the rebuilding a one Muslim nation called Caliphate. Caliphate would be a country knowing no borders, but would have only one religion, Islam. But before they achieve Caliphate they have to destroy those that are standing in their way, including America, Israel, and yes, other Muslims.

People, including some Muslims, will write in denying that is the ultimate goal. They have been deceived and are ignoring the writings of the Koran and teachings of the strongest voices among Muslims. The following quote says it all:

"[President] Bush says that we want to enslave people and oppress their freedom of speech," says Abu Abdullah, a senior member of Hizb ut-Tahrir, the Party of Liberation. "But we want to free all people from being slaves of men and make them slaves of Allah."

Now this is a mantra. This is what we are up against. That wasn’t even the most “radical” member of the Muslim leadership. How do you think our laws would fit within the nation of Caliphate? They wouldn’t.

What is even worse is that some Americans, such as Ms. O’Donnell, have regurgitated the propaganda that Muslim terrorist have spent millions of dollars, and countless dead bodies, to promote. That is not only “un-American,” it is irresponsible and dangerous. Ms. O’Donnell (and all of you who believe the same way), Sept. 11, 2001 did happen. You are right when you say it was staged, by 19 Muslim terrorist who believed that they were at war with America. Ms. O’Donnell, and all of those likeminded people, owe the thousands of men, women, and children who have suffered because of that act an apology. To belittle this act of aggression and then lay it at the feet of your fellow American citizens is disgusting and sad.
