Hugo Chavez: "You’re Really Making Me Mad"

Former Army Colonel Hugo Chavez is not very happy with the United States….so what else is new. Chavez is upset because a US Aircraft flew over Venezuelan airspace, citing “navigational problems” as the cause for the incident:

Hey Hugo, we know where you live!

Well Hugo…you wanted to play with the big boys, so welcome to the game. We have seen this act a thousand times in the past. A former military officer takes over a country and wants to be more important than he is. He starts holding swords and guns in the air during three hour public tirades that condemn the United States as evil. At the same time this corrupt leader is holding photo opts with the Hollywood elite and other thugs posing as “world leaders,” despite the fact that he is chucking people in jail or sending them to torture camps.

Hugo Chavez is a threat to the security of the United States. He is funding leftist rebels throughout South America, especially in Columbia where he is supporting the Marxist-Leninist revolutionary guerilla group Farc (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia). He is building up his military arsenal thanks to China and Russia (
Interpol: Venezuela Weapons Build Up), supporting his increase arms purchases (while his people struggle with poverty) with statements like this:

"We aren't going to attack anybody. But I always say it: Nobody should make a mistake with us," Chavez told soldiers "Our fatherland is permanently threatened by imperialism."

Love the use of the term “fatherland”……..remind you of anyone? I doubt the “fly over” was due to a navigational error, and I don’t care. Chavez is leading his country down a path to destruction, either through armed conflict or economic ruin. The unfortunate part is that the people of Venezuela are decent, hardworking people, who are being led by a megalomaniac. But hey, they get to see Danny Glover and Sean Penn. That's a fair trade off.....right?

The unfortunate part is that the people of Venezuela are decent, hardworking people, who just so happen to be led by a megalomaniac.

Fool, the decent, hard-working people you claim to care about have repeatedly VOTED for Chavez, who is the polar opposite of George W. Bush.

Chavez is intelligent, compassionate and courageous and is revered by millions of people around the world. Bush is a sniveling pussy, not to mention a traitor and war criminal.

I'm running for public office and am using my campaign to support Hugo Chavez. I also launched a new website - Viva Chavez!

Thanks for the disinformation campaign.

David thanks for the comments:

I will leave the link to your website, but viewers that do not share David’s opinions regarding Chavez should be advised that the site is a pro-Chavez/anti-American site.

Aside from being a menace to the United States, Chavez has damaged his country. He has suppressed the freedom of speech as much as he would. He has been cited for numerous human rights violation by several organizations. There was wide spread fraud during the last national election. He has attempted to subvert his countries constitution so that he could remain in power indefinitely. Venezuela has become a hub for drug and human trafficking under Chavez. His recent military buildup, which includes the potential building of a submarine fleet, has caused tensions with all of his neighbors.

Chavez saber rattling is unwise, and his threats to cause economic chaos by way of Venezuela’s huge oil reserves will require the US to invoke the Roosevelt’s Corollary of the Monroe Doctrine. The United States has a valid interest in the stability of the region.
