Indiana: Feticide Law Supported

Bank teller Katherin Shuffield went to work on the morning of April 25, 2008, 5 month pregnant with twins. By the end of the day she would be in the hospital in critical condition after being shot in an attempted bank robbery:

Ms. Shuffield suffered a greater tragedy with the death of her two boys due to the trauma of the gunshot. But several state officials believe it is time to enact laws that prosecute those who commit crimes that result in the death of the baby in the womb (feticide):

These types of measures have been attempted in the past, and past, but not without stiff resistant from pro-abortion organizations (Unborn Victims: State Challenges).
