For those who chose to ignore what Rush said, or who have completely neglected the muscle of the message, you are missing out on an opportunity to recapture the truth of conservatism. Don’t kill the massager because you do not like the message.

We are four years away from the next Presidential election, and this straw poll should mean very little. This is 2009, we just finish our last Presidential election a few months ago, and our next Presidential election is the last thing conservatives should be worried bout.

Conservatives need to temper their focus and put their energies towards winning local elections (school boards, city councils, and State government) and taking back Congress in 2010! All of our time, money and effort should be at the grassroots level. Grassroots organizing and strong local efforts are the elements that will ensure that we build a strong foundation of influence.
