It sound like the beginning of a bad bar joke – "A Congressman and two lawyers walk into a room….." Unfortunately, the joke is on the American people.
Recently Congressman Conyers lightheartedly suggested that his peers should not attempt to read the House healthcare bill unless accompanied by two lawyers. I am not sure if that statement was an sign of the lack of intelligence of the average congressman, or the maze of confusion that is the House bill on healthcare. Either way, it does not bode well for "We the People…"
Conyers proves that President Reagan was right when he said – "Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a loud voice at one end and no responsibility at the other."
